Welcome to Hart's Farm

Hart’s Farm, on Tucks Road in Shoreham, occupies 10 Hectares with Manton’s Creek flowing through. It started its working life as a dairy, and the old corrugated iron milking shed is still there though now renovated and extended. When we bought the property in 1997, beef cattle were happily grazing on the fertile pastures. Now it has grown to a thriving olive grove, apple cidery, B&B with Farm Gate shop and On-Line store.

Join Madelaine Hart for a weekend of dynamic Vinyasa yoga set amongst the beauty of Hart’s Farm’s olive grove & fruit orchard on the Mornington Peninsula. Always practicing with mindful awareness, the morning will begin with simple breathing techniques, move through creative & dynamic sequences and flow, and close with restorative yoga & deep relaxation. The yoga will be breath lead with an emphasis on safe alignment and modifications to suit each individual.

After each day’s yoga session, learn to cook (and of course eat!) a delicious lunch made from local seasonal produce, some of which is grown at Hart’s Farm. On the second day, we will also learn the benefits of the most common herbs & how to make our own herbal tea.

For all of our foodie endeavours, we will be guided and inspired by Hart’s Farm’s own Penny Hart, & Naturopath, Laura Richards. Both are passionate about good, simple food & the Paddock to Plate philosophy.

When you’re not practicing yoga or eating food, find a quiet spot to relax or amble up through the olive grove and around the orchards.

There is the option of booking the adjoining Studio B&B for two nights over the weekend (accommodates up to 2 people, see B&B info page) otherwise there are plenty of other accommodation options close by. Enquiries about on-site accommodation email Penny  info@hartsfarm.com.au

Everyone will also receive a bottle of Hart’s Farm Cold Pressed Extra Virgin Olive Oil and 10% off at the farm shop – (on weekend of Retreat).

We will supply mats and props but you are welcome to bring your own.

Madelaine Hart, yoga instructor

I hail from Melbourne but live in London and came to yoga during my first pregnancy.
My background is dance and my classes focus on creative and flowing sequences that are guided by your breath and your own self awareness. Through mindful movement and safe and precise alignment cues, I endeavour to adapt the class to whatever you need that day. Sometimes strong and dynamic, sometimes restful and calm, perhaps working with injury or illness. Whatever your level and experience, my classes are open to everyone and are really just an opportunity to give yourself space and time and open your mind to new possibilities.

During this retreat I will be teaching the yoga classes and generally helping out. Feel free to come to me with any questions or concerns.
